SUP SURF training
Advanced skills and techniques such as cross sweep turns, pivot turns, walking the board, cross stepping, feathering, footwork/stances for ocean/choppy water, core-connected body mechanics and even pop up drills!
SUP SURF YOGA
on the LAKE
SUP Surf Yoga: This 90 minute class begins with a 15-minute instructional paddling basics. Then enjoy a 45-minute SUP Surf Yoga Flow, 15-25 minutes of SUP surf style paddling and pop ups followed by a short restorative cool down of relaxing stretches into a floating restorative savasana.
What is sup surf yoga???
Step into a SURFER’S MIND and enjoy a one of a kind paddle and movement flow class. Many ocean surfers also practice yoga for its ability to calm the mind and keep the surfer tuned into themselves and the dance with the ocean. Yoga, pilates and surfing exercises are brilliantly combined together to create a surfer’s flow on a stand up paddleboard. This class is designed to be fun and functional. Learn how to prone paddle like surfers to prepare you for the real deal or if you lose your paddle or get caught in strong winds. Students will become aware of their feet to head connections, learn the art of counter balancing and leave with pop up skills, improved SUP mobility and a heart full of stoke . Classes begin with a somatic/body awareness warm up and end with restorative floating postures. Basic paddling instruction can be included if needed.
FULL DAY Flat or River water tours- 4-6 Hours of guided stand up paddling. A full day could be paddling 2-5 miles with some movement and stretch breaks, brown bagged lunch, sightseeing and photography to take home with you. Tours are done on Lake Austin, Lady Bird Lake, Lake Travis (wind permitting), Guadalupe, Comal and San Marcos River.
What you need to book your reservations:
1-Waivers must be signed for all participants
2-Credit Card, Venmo, Paypal non-refundable deposit of $50-250 deposit
3-A willingness to get wet, conquer fears and have more fun moving your body then you ever imagined!!!
