welcome to the fountain of youth

Welcome to the world of inversions!

As a long time yoga and pilates teacher, I feel these two Mind-Body-Spirit disciplines dance so organically together. Let's get into our whole body presence as we dive deep to the CORE of our essence. Our 4 limbs emerged from our spine. In my classes and workshops you will be coached and cued how to feel those deep connections to build a STRONG FLUID CORE with long reaching connected limbs to maintain spinal elongation, which also supports a healthy headstand & handstand practice. Come learn great foundational CORE movement tools while having fun "AIR SURFING" with gravity.

In the yoga tradition INVERSIONS (being upside down) are thought of as the FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH. Inverting reverses the aging affects of gravity to the entire body! When we invert the head below the heart we are turning our world upside down to explore a new heart-oriented relationship with gravity. Physiologically, the body’s fluids, bones, organs, joints, arteries, etc are energized and called to support itself in a whole new topsy turvy way! The inversion chair gives NEW creative options to explore dynamic inverting and whole body movement.

**Classes will begin with a short spine to limb integration warm up. Our first inversion will focus on building solid safe inversions for all participants. Some may be working with the wall and some may not depending on experience level. The hour will consist of intervals of yoga/pilates exercises that prepare the body for the next inverted round. These classes are geared to educate optimal form, alignment and orientation. Classes will end with a few yummy restorative postures.

Do you want to feel more youthful in your body, mind and heart?

Come experience classical pilates principles partnered with ancient yoga wisdom for a playful dance on the ceiling!

(*Classes are NOT FOR BEGINNER movers or those with BLOOD PRESSURE, INNER EAR or NECK PROBLEMS. Please ask about private coaching to see if inverting is in your future with one on one guidance)
